Look at 180 degree crank or flat plane crank.
One guy ran one at the track when I was young. It sounded like a Mazda rotary at 14 grand when it came by the front shoot. Really nasty sounding and very annoying. Kind of like finger nails on a chalk board! Back in the day it was said that there was no HP to be found in them. IIRC they were lighter though?
