I have to say I really like this new Chevy front end. I think it's the best looking front on a Chevy truck since the last year that I liked was the '87 model.
I am not brand loyal and see each Chevy, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Ram & Toyota from a level playing field. I agree the '16 Silverado is a great looking truck and is the best looking of the bunch.
I also see one major "ugly" spot that I'm having a hard time getting past. The wheel well openings. They are too big vertically. The 1500 2WD with some sort of fender skirt isn't too bad. But look at a 2500 4WD and it looks absolutely silly. There is nearly a foot of open space from the top of the tire to the sheet metal bedside. You can try to make the argument it's for bigger tires but that won't fly because there is only about 4" to the front/rear of tire. Was GM reducing metal to save weight and money?
Honestly. Every one know that Chevy goes out of their way to build a UGLY truck. And have done that for 30 years or more. Last good looking truck Chevy had was in 1969. On the other hand. GMCs look much better.
Having said that. Fords don't look good this year either.

I love the 14 and up models. I think they are beautiful trucks. This one looks good as well.
I like the 90's crew cab duality trucks by Chevy...looks great.
Last ugly Chevy truck I saw was a 1976 long bed with holes in the fenders big enough to fit my fist. Lol
Then again, I appreciate the design of most trucks. The new aluminum F150 has taken a while to grow on me...starting to learn to deal with the catfish nose on the new F150.
I like the Rams too but the design is a bit dated now. Still a tough looking truck.
