Once I do an oil change on a vehicle I don't need a filter wrench as I can remove by hand, as I only turn 3/4 turn after the filter contacts the sealing surface. I have never had a leak.
You either got gorilla hands or are borderline not tight enough imo. It's a rare filter that I can take off without channel locks or filter wrench. But I might just be a puss.....lol
