I agree....offer 40K?? For a 16' platinum F450? Are you serious? The miles aren't THAT high for a truck like that. I wouldn't worry about the towing so much, that's what their built for.
I think somewhere around 48- 52k would be a great deal if the truck is in great cosmetic shape. I would be surprised if the dealer would go less than the low 50's. These trucks are holding their value pretty darn well these days.
