That's why I posted here. I have no experience with a truck camper but have been reading alot for the last year. I am looking for feedback from owners to either validate or invalidate what I have been told about the Ram and what I experienced with one GMC truck and read many owners complain about. While it has only been a short time, I have received some good feedback from actual owners of new GMC/Chevy trucks that has been helpful.
On the other hand much of the feedback on the Ram has been from folks who do not own a current model or they are running DRW trucks not SRW. Bill specifically said if I was talking about an older RAM it would be a completely different story. So on one hand I have someone who installs truck campers daily telling me one thing and a handful of people on this forum who do not even own a SRW or current model RAM telling me the opposite.
If I was in the market for a DRW it is clear from many owners here that the RAM would be a great choice but I am not.
Anyone here using a current model RAM SRW that didn't have to install anything more than upper stable loads? I am told that's all I need on a new Ford or GMC one ton SRW, supercab/double cab, long bed, 4x4 to load a Northstar Igloo (2700# Dry).
