2016 Highlander brake controller question

Does anyone know if a 2016 Toyota Highlander with a factory tow pkg. has a wiring plug-in under the dash for a brake controller?
Thanks,
Steve

We've already been through this with you in this recent thread ... not much more that can be said. :R

  • My 2011 required them to run an additional wire which they hadn't counted on in their estimate. :)
now be prepared to be sassed at by those who think you need a F-550 to tow a 17 ft TT.

  • Don't think so. The Toyota website only shows heavy duty radiatior, oil and tranny cooler plus a larger alternator. If it is pre-wired it would likely be above the drivers side left kick panel like other models. It would usually come with a pigtail adapter in the glovebox too.

I suspect what you're asking is whether your Highlander is wired for Plug 'n Play brake controller installation ... if so, the answer is no according to the Tekonsha Fit Guide.
