I'm pretty sure they do as long as its under a certain GVWR. The Ecodiesel has EPA numbers.

The appeal of this truck for me depends on where the numbers come out. If it has enough payload to realistically to a 12k lb trailer, or 10k 5'er, and gets above 20 mpg on the freeway, I can see it.

I think the limit is 8500 GVWR. But the speculation I saw previously was the the diesel XD version of the Titan would be above the GVWR that required EPA estimates. I imagine if they don't have to publish numbers, they probably won't.

Nope, they wouldn't. If it is above the min GVWR, the vehicles won't count against Nissan's CAFE mpg standards. So that is probably incentive enough to put the GVWR right at 8501 (or just above the limit).

But a GVWR of, say 9000#, would probably allow for about 2500# payload. Would be right in the 'sweet spot,' I think.

Pretty sure that I read that atleast one model of the Titan is under the GVWR that requires EPA numbers.

Some time ago, looking at Ram 1500's and the Titan, there were a lot of features on the Pro4x that were really nice if you weren't looking at towing only - some of the interior and exterior features were impressive. It is going to be very interesting to see how this goes for them.
