Guys- the weight rating manufactures claim is based on continuous use and done to limit potential warranty claims.
For weekend use or even more regular use that is plenty of truck for that trailer. I would absolutely buy that truck for that trailer.
Which trailer is that aimed at ?
The 3500 SRW rear tire 3520 lb capacities and wheel capacities will be far exceeded for the AB 34KS ??
The only way any one ton SRW truck can carry 5000 lb + weight in the bed is mod the truck for more suspension and go with 19.5" tires and wheels which some folks have done.....mostly for 4k-6k truck campers.
I've definitely decided the 34' is too much. I'm shooting for the 33' with specs of 13,500 dry / 19,000 gross
A 19k trailer is not going to have a 5k pin weight. Further, the rating on the wheels and tires is fine unless someone is planing to run one wheel back there instead of two. If you like the 34 better then I would absolutely buy the 34. No way an extra foot of space is going to drastically change the weight of the trailer.
