Whats the price difference between the two? You might be surprised how nice a diesel 3/4 ton can be for a daily driver. I get about 22 on the highway and average 18 with mixed driving in mine... WAY better than I ever did with my F150 or my Tundra. As long as you are driving at highway speeds long enough to clean out your DPF, I would strongly lean towards the F250.
Remember that your payload on your F150 is the MAX that the truck can handle. The F250 is simply derated on paper. Curious why it is the 9900 lbs package, rather than 10K lbs though. Even though the payloads are similar on paper, they are VASTLY different in the real world.
The other option is a gas F250. The 6.2 is a good strong engine and will give you even more payload.
