People sure feel the need to justify their purchases. I'm fair;y certain I am in the 2% of people that subject their trucks to extreme usage, other than a limited slip unit, I've never had a single issue, on any truck I have ever owned with the rear (or front) axle.
Wait, I had a new Tacoma that killed 3 sets of rear gears, but that's a Tacoma.... And not a real truck.
Thank you! Aside from vanboy, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who broke an axle without trying really really hard.
Same as you. Had one truck that had mfg issues when new, went through 3 rear ends in like 5000miles. And the odd issues here or there over a LARGE number of vehicles fleet and personal.
I'm the haul 9000lbs on my 2500 rear axle without much worry or hook a 14klb trailer to my Chevy 1500 person. Last of my worries is about breaking the axle.
