I'm only pointing out that people who look at 2 and 3 series trucks and are surprised by the small payload are being mislead. Those trucks and their axle capacities are under-rated by the manufacturers for whatever reasons. Theyre MUCH more capable than 1 series, except for the 1500HD Chevy made that was literally a 2500 with 1500 emblems.
Not everyone needs that.
One possible reason could be what my Ford dealer told me. 10% of the F150 trucks are overloaded on a regular basis. 75% of the Super Duty’s are overloaded on a regular basis. I asked how he arrived at these numbers and he said it was just his observation.
