Really on an aluminum bed? That should be an interesting test. I will call GM and see if you want to do that one.
OH BTW, all RAMs come with the puch mounts on the frame even if the option was not included. I installed my myself. Like the Ford the bed bolts did not come out easy. Chris
GM would use a plastic hitch on their test. :D
I would run the companion on an Aluminum bed Super Duty and not even think about it. The weight is transferred through the bed to the hat channels to the frame. Shouldn't be much deflection/Dents with the B&W with the bed corrugation filler strips they use now.
