2017 F350 impressions.

Traded my 2016 F350 CCSBSRW Powerstroke Lariat for 2017 same except got the King Ranch. What a huge difference! Rides so much better, so much quieter especially wind noise, solid feeling chassis, features and comfort. Sync 3 definitely better. Phone hooks up immediately. So far, very impressed!

  • When you figure how long Ford has been milking the SD platform/chassis (1999) its not surprising the 2017 feels light years ahead of the '16.
  • More observations on the 2017. Those LED headlights are amazing compared to the candles they had on the 16. The ambient interior lighting that allows you to pick different colours, the solid feel and sound of the doors closing and the collapsing storage system underneath the rear seat. The steering feel is definitely a lot heavier ( almost too heavy) and I didn't order the adaptive steering system. And finally a gauge for the DEF.
  • Forgot to mention that the 2016 F350 had the 3:55 rear end & I ordered the 2017 F350 with the 3:31 ratio. Both trucks with 18 inch rubber and both rpms are at 1,500 at 62 mph. I would have thought the 3:31 would have showed a lower rpm.

Did you take a hit w/ trade or deprecation? Saw quite a few in OH last month and they look sharp. Thought has crossed my mind on a new one, but don't think it's in the cards financially at this time. Good luck and enjoy.

Live in Canada. My 2016 F350 was exported to USA by the dealer. Actually got a little more than I paid for the 2016 in July of last year, actual cash not trade value. Put 14,500 miles on it.
