only 15 bobtail - still lower cost per mile.
not better - cheaper
How do you figure cheaper per mile? Keep in mind I take care of a fleet of trucks, class 8 trucks included. - hone_eagleExploreronly 15 bobtail - still lower cost per mile.
not better - cheaper - transamz9Explorer

I get 9 and better pulling the same towed weight as you but get close to 20 bobtail. Overkill is not always better. - hone_eagleExplorerMy 'big rig' gets 8.5+ at 65 -all up weight with the smart on deck 35,000 #
- takenExplorer IIDon't encourage him Fish. He'll start posting more pics of his hitch, truck, and RV from tons of angles. :R

7 MPG..... OUUUUCH
I think that is pretty darn good considering I am moving 33K at 75mph. My RV is 13'5" high and 101" wide.
Sorry but that's terrible....
It is terrible but I don't think there is a pick up that will do any better pulling that kind of load. The strange thing is that the big trucks are capable of getting 7 mpg pulling 2 or maybe even 3 times that amount of weight.
I was hoping you would chime in because reading your posts you do speak the truth about mileage. There are many that just report the good only.
I would think my truck and trailer are much less aerodynamic than a Big rig and trailer.
And I was hoping you would chime in a "Ford Specific" topic... Man there's going to be a chit storm over here with the dodge boys once the 2017 Power House Super Duty's hit the streets. Heck even I'm getting the itch for that 1,000 ft/lbs of torque. :B- ksssExplorer

I would pull 31K combined with my gas 2015 6.0 and got 5-6 mpg. My 15 Dmax gets in the 7-9 range depending on wind. However I don't have near the wind resistance as an RV, since this is equipment being moved. - Cummins12V98Explorer III
