2017 Ford F-150 Raptor 450 hp & 510 lb-ft of torque

According to the forum user, the Raptor's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine will generate 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. That's 39 horsepower and 76 pound-feet of torque more than the outgoing generation's 6.2-liter V8. A similar 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine can be found in the new Ford F-150 where it makes 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, making Raptor's leaked figures believable. The same forum user also managed to get pictures of the Raptor's maximum towing capacity, which will come in at 8,000 pounds, the same amount as the previous generation.

Looks like a fast tow vehicle.
  • As was the case with the previous-generation model, it will be offered in both SuperCab (extended) and SuperCrew configurations. It will get a 10-speed automatic transmission, as will all 2017 F-150s equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. It will have 3-inch Fox Racing shocks and improved travel and articulation over its predecessor. From the start, Ford promised that the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 would have more power than its predecessor 6.2L V-8. However, we didn’t know quite how much until now.

The Ford Raptor Forum, an enthusiast forum for Ford’s off-road hero, has a thread with what appears to be a photo of a computer screen that the original poster claims is advanced dealer info ahead of the truck’s official production launch. The photo clearly shows a rating of 450 hp at 5,000 rpm and 510 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. That is 75 more horsepower than the 2017 F-150’s “regular” 3.5L EcoBoost and 40 lb-ft more torque. More importantly, it’s 39 more horsepower and a whopping 76 lb-ft more torque than the previous Raptor’s 6.2L V-8. Combined with the tighter ratios of the 10-speed transmission, as well as the second generation model’s lighter weight, the performance of the new Raptor should be formidable.

10-speed trans with 450HP 510Tq should be great at low end.

Maybe someone who know how will make this a clicky.
    Guess I should learn.
