2017 Ford Raptor Towing MPG Review

Couldn't tell for sure but it may be an air safe hitch. It has an air bag and a shock in it and soaks up the harshness associated with shock loads. There is another out there that has rubber dampers in it, which may be what that one was. They are stout and I've never heard of anyone complaining of failures!
