Totally different transmission. It's the same, 6R80, that's in the 150 but beefed up. Only in the 250 gas. It is referred to Torqueshift-G. As apposed to the current Torqueshift.
The 250 diesel and 350 gas/diesel get the current 6R140. - buc1980ExplorerProbably the price will rich mansion price,it already pass the house price.

- IdaDExplorerThat tank size is awesome.
- lawnspecialtiesExplorer3.55 on a dually? Wow.
Being the former owner of an F450, I've always thought the 3.73 with the wide track front end would be perfect for me. - Golden_HVACExplorer48 gallons is great if you are towing a really large trailer and only get 10 MPG or less.
I think I would like the 3.55 rear axle with a low RPM reving diesel engine. I had to drive a 2500 series 1987 GMC 6.2L diesel (work truck) and it would wind out at 65 MPG. The dually 3500 truck had a 4.56 rear axle and would hit the rev limiter at 68 MPH. Both engines required new heads around 70,000 miles.
Good luck with your new truck!
Fred. - spud1957ExplorerWow, 48 gallon fuel tank on the crew cab long box.
