I didn't say "They aren't engineered for different loads". I said they're "different".
The 2500 rear frame is routed outwards towards the tires in order to give clearance for the coils springs to be mounted on the inside of the frame, whereas the 3500 rear frame is routed in a straight line and the leaf springs are mounted on the exterior of the frame.
I think we know the pros and cons between the two different designs! :W
You sure about that regarding the frame? I highly doubt the frame rails are aligned differently. It would require different box mounts etc. Chris
