The wear to rear tires is extremely negligible. Not even remotely noticeable in my own case and I have been running an EB for 14 years on my truck.
I have read that some fleets report slightly more wear but they are running a tremendous number of miles and the minimal wear is more than offset by brake savings.
There's really no down-side to using an EB.
