2019 Ford Ranger

Just saw 6 of the 2019 rangers caravanning around town. Good looking truck for sure.

A neat looking truck for sure. Unfortunately, if you look at the new Ranger and Colorado side by side they are nearly indistinguishable. Ford should have done more to make it look different. I had a '93 Ranger that I drove for 7 years and it was a fantastic truck. If family needs hand't changed I would have driven that thing forever!

One thing for certain, the new Jeep Gladiator is butt ugly.

I can't imagine the rough ride with the Aus version @2797 lbs for payload. Thats darn near what my Ram 2500 has.

The Colorado is a Chevy.

Both are nice, but the seats suck in them.

As they state in the TFL comparison article you posted...

"The U.S. and Euro specs Ford Rangers are actually very different, yet similar. They have very similar dimensions and slightly different look, but the powertrains and weight ratings are very distinct. It has a lot to do with different government regulations and customer needs."

The US truck class regulations GVWR limits these trucks are in are lower than they are globally. For example, the Class 1 GVWR limit for the US is 6,000 lbs(2,721 kg) with a slight deviation for options. The class C limit in Australia is 9,920 lbs(4500 kg) allowing for more GVWR and by default greater payload. If you brought the global Ranger to the US, it would have the same 6,000 lb GVWR limits of US version because it is a class 1 vehicle and therefor a lower payload.

Of course you would say that. I also read or watched somewhere that there was only like a $1500 price difference between the Ranger and same package F150.
