Any man who thinks this is a good idea, needs to shave their @ss, put on a dress and walk backwards.....because this is NOT a good feature for a pickup truck.
The talk about 350lb capacity.....are you serious? There are people that weigh more than that......

Look at the rest of the features. It's also a half gate that allows you to reach into the bed without putting the whole tailgate down. Why? You can already lift the new GM tailgates with 2 fingers with the spring loaded hinges. Which by the way make a tailgate now inconvienent to remove easily.
I'll have to say it again. What the _____ were they thinking? I can only think of about 20 different things immediately that I do at work or personally that would leave this tailgate in shambles that would cause little or no damage to a traditional tailgate. Even the plastic caps on the tops of newer truck tailgates are dumb but this is over the top ignorant.......unless GM is now only interested in selling trucks to your grandma.
