Has to be the dumbest feature I’ve seen on newer trucks in a while..... unless you don’t use your truck as a truck. That will last about 3 weeks in construction work. Bad enough the trucks already fold like a cheap suit. But this? Terrible idea

Designed Purely for the Fashion Statement crowd...who does NOT use their trucks as trucks...but as cars...

Wonder how much it would cost to repair or replace after a fender-bender...or when sand/grit/gravel/etc gets into that mechanism and it won't close right...dumb

Notice the two wine glasses in the cup holder indentations of that tailgate...who has wine glasses on their tail gates... ??? A maybe a can of beer while working, but think most employers would frown on that during work hours...heck even doing stuff around the house/properties/etc...never allow folks helping me drink alcohol till AFTER the job is done...

Looks like it also has, "heads up" info. display.

Kind of looks like the new Ram with F150 headlights.

I can not see that tail gate lasting more than 2 loads of my 450 lb lawnmower into it! well, maybe 3 or 4......but, some of us that use trucks as trucks.......
Even local owner of GMC and Chevy dealership mentioned this tailgate a month or so ago......is not sure it would or will work for "MY" "contractor" of any sort use!

I just looked at a pic of the new Ram. It's ok. I can see why the op says if you don't like the new Ram you won't like the new GM but I like the GM much better.

I like it. I like the look of the new RAM too.
