Have been doing some research on new Chevy 2500HD gas trucks and have noticed the rear end ratio seems be 3.73 now, not 4.10, in most dealer inventory. I think I would still like the 4.10 unless there...

Maybe the few I've drove aren't quite right. They've been 2016-2018 6.0, 4x4 crew cab, stripper work trucks.
Havent pulled Vantage with one, but that grade coming up Westbound is probably the biggest test in this state.
Going up White Pass from 123 to the top or up I 90 Snoqualmie, I've pulled the same or very similar loads with my 2016 1/2 ton 5.3 and a couple 6.0 3/4 tons and for some reason it feels like the little 1/2 ton pulls as well.
4klb deckover with a 5000?lb skid steer on it. Moderate load, the 3/4 tons feel like they don't have any more snort than the 5.3. I really want to like the, and otherwise they're great trucks, but average at best for towing (in my limited experience).
