2020 Chevy Duramax 3.0 Diesel
The Chevy 3.0 Duramax has been delayed due to the EPA which is a shame, but not surprising. Also not a fan of the timing chain installed on the rear of the engine. Link

If you watch the video on the link I provided go to ~3:40 and you can clearly see the timing chains.
As for a source for the engine block, GM Authority states the block is cast aluminum with iron cylinder liners.
