2020 Chevy Duramax 3.0 Diesel
The Chevy 3.0 Duramax has been delayed due to the EPA which is a shame, but not surprising. Also not a fan of the timing chain installed on the rear of the engine. Link

They were comparing a V6 which requires a balance shaft. The V6 is not naturally balanced. A V8 does do not require a balance shaft.
But the V8 is naturally balanced and is used to reduce overall length for a large displacement engine.
