The GM engineer for the 3.0 Duramax reported the new diesel had a design life span of 150k miles.
I saw that but, on another video on YouTube, he stated that the belt was only good for 150k and is then changed out by removing the transmission and unbolting a cover. So I think the engine will def go longer then that. Only time will tell.
