Hot dang, the 7.3 is listed as 21,200 max towing for a gasser. I'm figuring 16k is as far as I'll be going, so a nice cushion. Now to wait 3 years for the bugs in the 7.3 and the 10 speed to be worked out.

Where did you find that number? I am looking to see what max payload might be with that engine.

My readings say the 6.2 gas comes standard with 6 speed or optional 10 speed. The 7.3 gas and 6.7 diesel come standard with 10 speed. The 6.2 6 speed is likely available for inexpensive work trucks. It will be interesting to see if the 6.2 continues to be offered as a less expensive gas engine.
