2020 Ford F600

Ford is introducing a smaller Class 6 chassis cab truck next year called the F600. It will share many of the components of the larger F650 but be the same dimension as the F550. This 22K lb GVWR vehicle will be the king of truck camper haulers since you will still be able fit the camper cab over over the top of the cab with being overheight.

  • Now, Host just needs to build a longer TC 13 or so with 6 jacks. :)

Joking, but I guess someone would buy it.

Load that up and hitch a trailer behind and you’re over 26,000 real quick!
But it’s a way to one-up the guys using an F550 for a camper.

FWIW: I am around 18K lbs GVW and 25K lbs GCW with my truck camper loaded and my enclosed trailer in tow. I don't see myself needing more than Class 5 capacities with my 60" CA truck. Now if I had chosen to go 84" and add additional tanks, that's where this F600 would make sense.
  • Ordering is not open until early 2020 with deliveries later in the year. I would not be surprised if multiple cab options are available in different wheelbases like you see in the Class 4 and 5 offerings.

The 10-speed automatic will be available for the F550 and bellow, but I am uncertain if the F600 and larger are currently staying with the 6-speed. There are conflicting stories about those details.

Around here the DOT has been cracking down on all the 350/450/550 trucks with trailers driven by people without a CDL.

  • I saw that yesterday... was skimming the articles to see if it will be offered in other than a regular cab. Really need a Super or Crew cab for TC application IMHO.
