2020 Ford Raptor towing

I purchased a 2020 Ford Raptor and plan on towing my Flagstaff Micro Lite with it from time to time. Noticed a little sag in the back, which I anticipated. Wanted to see who else has hauled their camper with them and what you have used to take the sag out? Local shop said they put airbag systems in with remote that makes it simple, but looking around $1,500 for the product plus the install. These guys are my trusted source for years so they do a great job, but was curious if anyone else has found cheaper solutions. Thanks!

  • Lots of 4wd or SO trucks sit level. Then add weight in the bed and the truck sags.

I pull a 10k car hauler with a 7680 lb blue tractor with the wifes '16 1500 chevy 4wd getting in and out of muddy work sites/pastures. Adds around 1080-1140 lb on the trucks rear axle.
I use a WD hitch/friction bars but found the rear spring pack needed help.
I went with Sumosprings from these guys:https://www.etrailer.com/susp-2020_Ford_F-150+Raptor.htm
They show a 1000 lb or 1500 lb set so give them a 1-800 for their input on what you need. Great bunch to deal with

The Timbren suspension enhacement costs around $250 and will greatly reduce that sag. It's not as sophisticated as airbags but it works and is easy to install.
I have it on my F250 and it works for me.

I saw a YOUTUBE video about that being used with the Raptor. Might look into that as well.

I would just go with a good wd hitch. Is there a good airbag system for the long travel? But if you never intend on running it like it is capable probably not a problem for airbags.

Yes. There is, but it's $1600. It's specifically for the Raptor according to the 4x4 shop and their customers have had a lot of success with it. It's the fancy one with the remote and built in air compressor. Supposed to have all the bells and whistles. Probably overkill, but you only live once.

FYI - I have the equilizer 4 point WDH. Haven't hooked that up yet. Haven't towed either. Was just adjusting the ball and made the slight sag observation. Maybe the WDH will fix it.

You need to resize your pick per the forun rules to 480x640 max.

Sorry...not sure how to do that.
