When you own one report back. Never had to replace the keyed ignition? I had to on my 86 C20. LOVE the push button start, fob stays in pocket.
Lot's of things we "THINK" we won't like until we have them!
4 years and 64k on my push button start, so far so good.
That is very true. Plus, it does not matter if it is a push button start or keyed. They both have the same probability of failure. That of the anti theft part of the key/fob. You can turn your key until your heart's content but if the security chip fails you are in the same boat as the push button start person.
Actually the key person may have an advantage. They will have a weapon when walking home. - parker_roweExplorer

Yep. Definitely don't need it. But it's one of those things I never realized I wanted until I had it.
Before that I was all "Push to start, thats a dumb gimmick. Who needs that?"
Like heated seats, automatic headlights, and self dimming mirrors. - larry_barnhartExplorerPush button start is on our 2018 suv. I kinda still have my hand in the right pocket to pull out the keys but doing it less often before we hit the road for Az.

If you have something hitched, you will probably just step on the tongue to enter, and the tailgate will just open as a tailgate. I find the corner steps best anyway. Easy when the goose neck is connected, where I would not be able to use the step.
Its not about having something hitched. We all have drop hitches attached there regardless of towing or not.
Agree, this looks like a horrible idea. How many are going to bash their fancy new tailgate in when they drop it down on the hitch - DadoffourgirlsExplorer

IOW, my present system of using a key has been working great my entire life. This new fangeled system not only isn't needed, but is another expensive item to fix when it fails..... And unlike some feature such as electric windows, adaptive cruise control etc.... When push to start fails... The truck doesn't start..... Hate to be stranded by something like that.

Like I said I REALLY like the Denali’s looks. Smoke does have some valid points!
No he doesn't, none of them are valid.
Complaining not because the changes were not made but rather that it took too long for the changes to happen? That makes zero sense.
Complaining about plastic wheel well covers, There are numerous aftermarket companies that have built their entire companies on ABS/plastic wheel wheel covers. Every OEM that offers them are made from the same type of material.
8" console is too small, but is the only OEM to Offer HUD? Zero mention of that that first in a pickup. I would take HUD any day over a 12" console.
Complaining about a tailgate system? if you dont like it, dont order it. I wont be ordering mine with one either, so why $itch about it?
You really dont have to work that hard to hate on it. Calling out the years that it took for important milestones such as push button start is beneath you. Just dont buy one. - 73gunaExplorerNow that's much better!
I was anxious to see the new Chevy, but was disappointed after seeing it and didn't expect too much from the GMC, boy was I wrong.
