I don’t believe the service brakes are applied in the TFL test certainly mine has not done that but I’m hauling 14,500 lbs not 30,000.
Really I like Ram but I don’t have a brand loyalty. I went to buy a Ford and couldn’t get a deal and ended up w a Ram and $6000 in my pocket for nearly the exact same sticker and equipment.
The Ram is not fast but it is wonderful to tow with and I believe the others would be too. I do think Ram has an edge on cost to operate but I can’t prove this other than anecdotal reports. But I can say this if TFL in this year didn’t use the service brake which I don’t think happened. This is a major achievement for Ram.
