You will lose credibility by making these type statements. If you would have said guessing, or if, in that remark, you wouldn't be providing false info.

He is actually the one that said the 6 x 6 is just fine and would not make much difference with more gears.
As mentioned WHY in the HE!! change when you have combo's that do the job reliably.
I will repeat, I tow way more weight than most anyone here at 35k combined West Coast and have ZERO reason to want more gears or power. I have owned both trans and I love them both.
Harsh...not intended. Just a tip for a respected member, that many trust to be stating facts, when in this case it wasn't. Good that you asked him!
My opinion...I agree, with the Ram not NEEDING more than a stout 6-speed. I do think similar to others opinions, that since technology continues to advance for Ford/GM, at some point Ram will follow. Right/wrong, it will be considered upgrading the drivetrain and body/frame/styling.:)

I guess I need to be a little more careful with my words. The purpose of the post was actually to let people know that my decision to pass on the '23 Ram was not rooted so much in the Ram not meeting my needs, but rather in my "fear" of being stuck with an antiquated '23 model "if" a newly designed '24 model should come out. As much as I believe the high torque rise of the new HO Cummins means 6 gears are adequate. I do think Ford and GM have raised the expectations new HD truck buyers have, which means Ram will soon need to bring more power and more gears to the table.
