22” rims vs 18” rims

I think as long as you also attach those 18" wheels to a 3/4 or better yet a 1 ton truck and not an F150, that would be better...

I'm towing a 26', #7000 GVWR TT and it's all I want to tow with my F150 and it's even setup with MaxTow and has over #1900 payload!

It's not so much the size of the wheels. It's the size of the tires you have. Those 22's you have have small sidewall tires where the 18" wheels will have taller sidewalls so the overall tire height of both sets are going to be about the same.. I've got OEM 20" wheel/tire setup, but my OEM spare tire is on an 18" wheel, but the overall tire height is roughly the same.

Fourty Foot!!!!!! you seriously need to rethink this whole thing if that is correct. Ok, I looked at the Keystone Outback website, there are a couple of 39 ft models, 10,500 lb Gross weight (which I calculated by adding the dry weight to the carrying capacity, they won't come out and say what the GVWR is).

Then I looked at the Michelin Agilis Cross Climate Light Truck tires.. they do not make a 22 inch in this tire. Biggest is 20.

Given that you have the potential of an 1100 lb tongue weight, or more, you probably don't need to waste the money on new rims and tires, just go ahead and jump right on up to a heavier truck.............

What are the numbers on the door stickers for front and rear axle weights, gross vehicle weight, combined weight if it is given, payload for your specific vehicle (you may want to go fill the fuel tank, load up the family and head to the CAT scales and get a truck weight.)

A Limited is a model loaded with options, those options have weight that takes away from the payload of the truck. 3.55 gears to me, don't seem like a good choice for towing, but whatda I know? I'm using a stripped out RAM 2500 (CTD, 6 spd manual, 3.73) to tow a 7500 lb 23 ft trailer.

This ain't gonna turn out good at all.

Wait until a gust of wind hits that 40'TT sideways and your F150 doesn't have the weight to control it. Be sure to carry clean underwear and pants.

That seems like a lot of trailer for a 150. I would check the weight rating of the WHEELS. I have seen more than one aftermarket rim break because they look good, but they are not made for much wight.
The 3.55 gears may be a bit tall for what you are asking the truck to do.

Wheels are theleast of your problems.

No reason to be confused. 40 ft. is too much trailer for the F-150.

The Limited will have the lowest payload, my guess is about 1,200 lbs.

I suggest it is time to step up to a HD series.
