2500 HD 6.0 Gas vs a Diesel

I'm looking to change TV and I'm unfortunately very limited on credit and budget. I had a deal on a F350 SRW 4x4 but lost the truck while waiting on financing. Now I'm looking at a 2011 Chev Silverado 2500 HD but has the 6.0L V8 Gas engine.

What are the thoughts on this? I know gas is cheaper than diesel. Anyone have this engine and can comment on the pulling power any problems etc?
