WOW..I went camping and my thread got turned into a 13 year old argument. The last page has nothing to do with my post !!!!
Thanks Guys !!
Anyway,
I bought a truck with a known inherent issue with all 2500HD CC and EX cabs. Not a truck with a problem specific to that particular vehicle, otherwise no I wouldn't have purchased it. Apparently some do and so do not. It looks as if new body mounts are the fix.
Has anyone replaced the rear b-mounts and remedied this?
On a side note..it pulled SOOO much better than the Suburban !
OP-
Allow me to apologize for my 13 year old behavior. I was baited into a squabble, up to now I resisted, but we all have our weak moments.
The time stamp kind of refutes that, but whatever makes you warm and fuzzy!
As to replacing your rear cab mounts, that shouldn't be difficult. I'd do it by removing the three body mount bolts on one side and jacking the cab off the frame. Shouldn't require more than an inch after the weight is off the mounts. Then lower the cab, replace, and tighten the bolts back.
Any reason you need to replace the front mounts? The two rear cab mounts and the four bed/box mounts should be the ones that need to be replaced right? OP maybe call a GM dealer and get your questions from the horses mouth.
Repeat for the other side. An hour job by my estimates.
I guess I will never win with you guys. I get called out for not helping the OP, then I get called out for giving advice.
Don you can't get to the rear mounts without taking all four body bolts loose on the same side. Removing the bed bolts aren't even necessary.
Yeah, OP call the dealer.
