Nvr2loud,
You are claiming that your hitch was set up properly for you hitch head and bars. That is NOT what determines whether a hitch is set up right or not. I can tell you, just from what you have written here, that your hitch was NOT set up correctly.
I strongly suggest that you take a long hard look at this thread which is stuck at the top of the Towing forum, before you set up your new hitch. It will give you some good information on how to get the job done right and will also teach you a few things on how/why things are as they are.
Another good read that might help you out a bit is this thread, also stuck at the top of the forum. Good luck with your new hitch. :)

I disagree, other then the set-bolt (not always required) that is broken on my hitch, it is set-up properly as per Husky's instructions. Trailer is level when fully hooked-up and ready to travel, bars are parallel to the trailer frame, I am not using any more then 4 links of chain.
The only issue at all is the amount of weight transfer is not enough, and that is the reason for the new bars. When I use the new bars and transfer more weight, the trailer will likely sit out of level, and then I will need to adjust the ball position height and the ball position angle (now that set-bolt becomes important) to put the new bars to parallel.
Some people seem to think that my entire hitch head is bouncing around all loose, that is not the case. It takes the entire dead tongue weight to drop that head the 1/2" along the slotted bolt hole. Is that correct, of course not, it should be sitting on a set bolt. But since I don't need the angle of the ball tilted down, it does not matter on my current setup.
