Ok I'm probably accused of being an honorary member of the ram mafia on here....maybe....once or twice....lol
But let's not pretend either truck outpulled or out mileaged or out braked the other. It's a dead heat. Period.
Yes the Powdersmoke will win a drag race. Dmax will too. HP is for racing, torque is for pulling. Ford has more hp.
My bombed 5.9 is slower than my old tuned Dmax even though it is arguably putting down more power......because it's putting down more torque and the Dirtymax was putting down more hp. And it's just a faster design down the track than the tractor engine in the Dodge.
Anyone who thinks that any apples to apples comparison of new diesels (gotta use the HO ram because the standard one is de tuned) will show that one can clearly out work the other is mistaken. Mfgs put a whole lot more effort than us internet wizards into making sure they are competitive.
