That is IF they want to. GM has stated that they did not want to enter this useless pissing match just so their fanboys can brag about how much weight they will never tow and I commend them for it. I believe light duty pick up trucks shouldn't be towing that kind of weight and should be left to the heavier medium duty trucks.
GM claims that the over 24k loads is a very small market, but I'm not sure I agree with them. With the amount of Oil Field equipment alone they're missing out.
They sure do like the HP/Torque wars pissing match so I don't believe they don't want to get into the towing wars pissing match.
Bottom line I don't commend GM for anything since the bail out.
