Is this an event where you arrive around 1:00PM on Friday, April 22nd and leave in the morning on Sunday, April 24th? I've been thinking about going to this one instead of attending the Texas Truck Camper Rally again for the third year in a row. I've never been to that part of the country before so I'm looking at the possibility of changing my mind to go there. If I do go, it would be nice for suggestions of what to see and do while there.
exhaustipated - I went ahead and posted a tentative schedule under my post on the Rallies, Shows, and Gatherings forum. Yes, I'm starting things off with a lunch on Friday and the last formal event will be breakfast on Sunday. For many that's all the time they'll be there. Others may arrive earlier or leave later so you might have some company if you come and stay for a longer time. There's a lot to see and do in the area ... Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have a lot of touristy attractions. There's a neat aquarium in Gatlinburg where you walk through a tunnel and sharks swim over you. And the Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge is a big draw. Then there's the beautiful Smoky Mountains National Park. Climb up to Clingman's Dome for a good view, go to the Balsam Inn restaurant for a fine meal with another beautiful view, or walk any of the many quiet trails. I'm sure others will chime in with some options!
