IF you're driving in 'weather', or camping, and get stuck in wet grass or mud, or sand, or ???? only one time, you will know that answer without asking it.
Every truck I've bought since 1976 has been 4x4 ... and every one has needed (not just wanted, but needed) 4x4 numerous times. It makes more sense to have it, then not have it and need it.
Unless you spend your time only around town paved roads, I'd suggest spending the money and know your safer ... when you need it, nothing else will do - except maybe a tow-truck.
