Just last week we had a City 2WD DRW plow truck plowing by the house in a freak downpour..Doesn't he read the internet..LOL.Surprised he didn't have to call our 2WD Tow Truck..
My point is,those two City trucks are 2WD with weight in the back, just like having a truck camper in the back for weight..The plow truck is a 1-ton DRW 2WD dump truck with a bed full of gravel and the Tow truck is also a 1-ton DRW 2WD with the weight of the crane etc..They get around in the snow just fine plowing the roads and rescuing stuck drivers..
I assume most of you are from modern cities and don't realize how the backcountry towns plow roads and get people out of the ditch..Not affording the new equipment..Most all City equipment is 2WD with the fire department having the only F-550 4X4 around..The initial Attack truck..The rest are all 2WD..All city snow plow trucks are 2WD-DRW-1 ton..All wreckers except one is 2WD-DRW 1-ton up..
They get the job done in snow just like a 2WD-1 ton DRW with a pickup camper on the back can..
