Kind of depends on your oil change procedure. I drain my oil into a 5 gallon bucket. Try getting that under your truck without putting it up on ramps. With the right funnel that fits into the spout on the bucket, not a drop of oil ever hits the concrete. I was tired of using an "oil drain pan" that sits way below the oil drain because there was always some splash I had to clean up.
And with the ramps I have, I have to put both my pickups in 4wd to get up onto the ramps, otherwise the front tires just push the ramps forward.
Besides, some of us have big bellies...mine would have trouble fitting under my Dodge, even with the tires up on 2X lumber!
