I will say that my experience is HT tires are very slippery and the 4x4 with the granny 1st gear is great for getting on the leveling blocks....especially when boon-docking and your on grass or dirt...I always use it and glad to have it...
As it could be improved...it is a nice insurance policy tool to have. Both my truck and SUV are 4x4 and I really don't think IMHO, that I would own a 2x2 again. The truck is a manual shift and with the turn of a switch My SUV is in 4x4, love them both and a real feeling of confidence when you need it.
