2wd vs 4wd
Hi all...time to open another can of worms...we r going to purchase a 2015 2500 denali duramax crew...just don't see the need for 4wd...how abt some non male ego driven opinions on the subject. ..thx....

NO 4X4 doesn't improve braking!! This part of the reason you see so many 4X4's in the ditch in bad weather, drivers attempting to break the laws of Physics, the the penlites are swift.
One needs to be aware that with the extra control and traction for getting going, it provides no, nadda, zilch extra stopping power. 4X4 does nothing to change the coefficient of friction between your tires and the road, or snow surface!!!
The smart 4X4 driver will go with traffic, but just with more control. :)
I have posted the picture below several times, I was very capable of staying with the traffic in front of me, the reason there is a large space is I was at about 17,000# GCVW at the time and running about 45 mph. I wanted the space to allow time to react, and brake in a smooth fashion.
