Its a pretty personal decision based on where and when you camp. My first truck was a 2wd and I did get into some tough spots on wet grass. Now with 4wd Im not afraid of spring/fall camping where waking up to 6" of snow is fairly common in Alberta. Not worried about MPG anymore, and I actually like the stance of my 4wd vs 2wd.
