I camp year around in Ohio, camping now, and have 4wheel drive. I use it numerous times throughout the year and still get stuck seems once a year. When 4x4 lets me down I’m happy for farmers with tractors.
All depends on what type camping one does. Some may be fine with 2 wheel drive and would be a waste getting 4 wheel drive others 2 wheel drive would be a waste. Only you can decide which is better for you.
