I think driving extra miles or avoiding a slower traffic area to make sure a regen finishes is a waste of time and money. You can have the dealer add the % DPF filter screen to your dic on any of the Powerstroke trucks or add it yourself using the free software download called Forscan.
They could have thought a little harder about the name before settling on Forscan maybe?
