Overall length is a good point as far as turning radius goes. Our first truck was a reg. cab long box towing a 20' TT - could easily drive up and down the lanes in a Walmart parking lot. Our current truck is a long box with super cab. First thing I noticed towing a 29' TT (50' overall) was how much more room it took to get around corners. Takes some getting used to at first.
We don't do state parks and don't know how short their sites can be. Have never been in any CG otherwise that you couldn't a long RV into. We regularly see some pretty humongous MHs in small sites and sometimes protruding into the road. Some CGs have sites reserved for longer RVs only. Problem is in the high season when CGs are very busy and sites are first come, first served, all the desirable ones can be impossible to find.
