30 AMP VS 50 AMP
What if any are the benefits of getting a trailer with 50 AMP service other than having enough juice for a second air conditioner? As far as I can tell the trailer I'm looking at has only one 13500AA...

You absolutely need to get a voltage meter. Check the minimum voltage that your unit can use, usually 104 to 108 volts. If the voltage is too low do not operate the AC. An autoformer can be used to boost voltage if needed, but they ain't cheap.
