30 AMP VS 50 AMP

What if any are the benefits of getting a trailer with 50 AMP service other than having enough juice for a second air conditioner?
As far as I can tell the trailer I'm looking at has only one 13500AAC.
thx for info in advance:)

  • 30 amp service gives you 3,600 watts and 50 amp gives you 12,000 watts of power. You can run both roof airs and your microwave along with the electric water heater.

    30 amp is three wire with one hot, one neutral and one ground. 50 amp is four wire and actually two 50 amp circuits with two hots, one neutral and one ground.

    Watts = volts x amps. So, 30 amps x 120 volts = 3,600. 50 amp x2 = 100 amps x 120 volts = 12,000.

    Worth the extra $ if you want to run several high power things at the same time.
  • You can blow dry your hair, run your coffee pot, reheat your hot water by electric, all while running your AC. By this point, if I 30 amp isn't tripping, it is about to. That is why some of us 30 amp guys run a separate 20 amp circuit for things.
